Had a rather exciting journey to town yesterday with fy. We headed over to curious teepee, mandarin gallery and down to Bras Besah complex after which. It was literally raining the whole time we were in town, but we didn’t let it dampen our spirits. We walked and talked, about anything and everything, literally. It was quite an experience I must admit. One thing though, I felt a little bad that fy’s shirt got wet because I didn’t shelter her enough.
We went over to Basheer while in Bras Besah and spent time browsing through quality books at reasonable prices. Decided to take a look inside cat socrates where we browsed through the notebooks and all the other stuff. After all that walking, we finally sat down at the cafeteria, gulping down the Jasmine Green Tea with Honey that we had bought earlier. By now, it was literally raining cats and dogs and we decided to wait it out to see how long it would take before we could head over to Supermama.
So we chatted, while we waited for the rain. And somehow, we both got so engrossed in our conversation that we just lost track of time. Fong Yee told me we sat inside for nearly 2 hours. The rain was a little smaller by the time we got out so I took the umbrella out, sheltered both of us and we headed down to Bugis where we caught a train back before transiting to the circle line.
I guess I really did enjoy my little outing yesterday. Not only because of the places we visited, but because of the company I wa sin. In some sense, I felt really happy because I’ve not felt like this in ages.
On the other hand, today is going to be a total drag because I’m going for my MRI scan which would suck the life out of me by the time I’m done.
